Sarah Pumpian (they/them) is a queer, mixed race music coach & mentor specializing in music production and voice. Beyond technically supporting clients, they help folks navigate what it means to be a creative within capitalism and the music industry.They bring their 10+ years in the music industry as an industry professional, artist, organizer, teacher, and student to this work.
Experience
They have 7+ years of experience teaching students of all ages at their private studio, The Music District, iAM MUSIC Institute, and We Make Noise Fort Collins where they led a program advancing gender equity in music technology. Most recently, Sarah received a diploma in music production and audio engineering in London at Point Blank Music School.
Sarah has studied with internationally recognized vocal coach, Cari Cole and completed multiple vocal teacher trainings. Sarah has completed Ableton Live Training through Electronic Creatives.
Sarah records, produces, and performs as ZEMBU with over 8 million streams and sync licensed music in major commercials and television.
Sarah’s entrance into the music industry was working as an industry professional within operations at KEXP 90.3FM Radio and Decibel Music Festival in Seattle.
